The Divine Nature of the Son and his Role in God’s Arrangement
The divine nature of our lord Jesus the Christ is no mystery.
We must remember that Jesus is the begotten Son of God Almighty; the one and only.
What does “begotten” mean?
He was not ‘fashioned’ as the other creations. But taken of God Himself; if you will, of the “stuff of God” (like our children are of our “stuff” or body). He is of Divine nature and uniquely so.
What is important is what Holy Scripture says and the thoughts they are conveying.
The preponderance of Scripture clear identify Christ Jesus is not part of some ‘Godhead’ relationship.
Concerning Christ pre-human existence, Philippians 2:6 states,
“Who existing in the form of God, counted not the being an equality with God a thing to be grasped”. American Standard Version
“Though he was in the form of God, he did not regard equality with God something to be possessed by force“. Complete Jewish Bible
Lord Jesus was hated and crucified for, not for saying that he was God or a ‘god’. But rather that he was the “SON of God”. (See Matthew 4:6 as well as Luke 4:6 for examples) And Jesus never referred to himself as God or a ‘god’.
At the time of Jesus’ baptism, Matthew 3:17 tells us,
“And behold a voice from Heaven said, ‘This is my beloved SON, with whom I am well pleased”. English Standard Version
Further, in the Book of Hebrews in chapter 1 and verse 5, this question is put forth:
“For to which one of the angels did God say, “You are my SON, today I have become your Father?” Or again, “I will be his Father, and he will be my SON“?
New International Version
A person would have to do some mental and verbal gymnastics to explain away the obvious connotation of these Scriptures.
Those who have been indoctrinated with the trinity ‘Godhead’ teaching can’t accept that this teaching flies in the face of both Scripture and reason.
It should be clear from reading Colossians 1:5, what relationship Lord Jesus Christ has with his father Almighty God.
“The SON is the image of the invisible God, the FIRSTBORN over all creation“. NIV
The Father/Son relationship and the ‘GodHead’ model simply do not align.
To understand the Divine order in Heaven, we have been given a pattern. It was the Temple; it’s design, and the Temple order.
Hebrews 8:5 New International Version (NIV)
5 They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”
The model of those who promote and teach the ‘GodHead’ belief is not in harmony with what the Temple setup looked like.
The entrance was a single pathway that ended with the Most Holy compartment. The Most Holy was exclusively the residing place of God by his Spirit.
The resurrected Jesus Christ is the High Priest (in the order Melchizedek). He is the anointed King of God’s kingdom as well.
The High Priest officiates before God Almighty. His office is therefore beneath the Father as he serves according to God’s requirements.
He does not reside in the Most Holy; but rather, has the permission to enter it.
The pattern of temple is a serially (linearly) constructed arrangement with Almighty God alone at it’s head. It also show’s Lord Jesus’ position in the Divine order. Imagine what you already understand.
There is but ONE at its Superior position. It is an exclusive position not shared.
The God-Head belief and teaching do not agree with the pattern God gave us in order that we may understand what is established in Heaven.
Once again recall the words of Scripture:
Hebrews 8:5 New International Version (NIV)
5 “They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”
I quote from the the Holy Scriptures as I refer to the time when Lord Jesus Christ will have completely carried out his consecrated commission in his Father’s name, “Then he will subject himself to He who subjected all things unto to him”. In this way all creation will return unto God.”
He is the unique shoot of God who was predestined to be grafted into the rest of creation in order to purify and purge it from corruption.
The only begotten Son of God is unique in all facets of his existence and has been since his begetting.
He is unique like his Father to whom he is subordinate. And his roles as Firstborn and High Priest are exclusive, setting him apart from all other creations by God.
I would like to tackle on the subject of salvation.
Here are seven questions that we will have to answer concerning this subject.
1.What is salvation?
2.Who is our Savior?
3.We are saved from what?
4.Who will be saved?
5.When will salvation occur?
6.How are we going to be saved?
7.Why do we need salvation?
1.Salvation is defined as being saved or protected from harm ,saved or delivered from some dire situation.
2.Isaiah 43:11 I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.”
to the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, might, and authority for all past eternity and now and into all eternity. Amen.
Acts 5:31 31 God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
to Titus, a genuine child according to the faith we share:
May you have undeserved kindness and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.
It’s clear that we have only two Saviours, Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ.
I do not request that you take them out of the world, but that you watch over them because of the wicked one.
We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked
And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the wicked one.
1 John 3:5
5 You know, too, that he was made manifest to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him.
2 Rescue me from those who act wickedly, And save me from violent men.
The one who practices sin originates with the Devil, because the Devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was made manifest, to break up the works of the Devil.
Because of his anguish, he will see and be satisfied.
By means of his knowledge the righteous one, my servant,
Will bring a righteous standing to many people,
And their errors he will bear.
The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and he said: “See, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
John 15: 18,19
If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you.
For he must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet.26 And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.
13 He rescued us from the authority of the darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son,
Search for Jehovah, and keep living,
So that he does not burst out like a fire on the house of Joseph,
Consuming Bethel, with no one to extinguish it.
Amos 5: 18-20
‘Woe to those who yearn for the day of Jehovah!
What, then, will the day of Jehovah mean for you?
It will be darkness, and not light.
19 It will be like a man who flees from a lion and is confronted by a bear,
And when he enters his house and leans his hand against the wall, a snake bites him.
20 Will not the day of Jehovah be darkness, and not light;
Will it not have gloom, and not brightness?
Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones of the earth,
Who observe his righteous decrees.
Seek righteousness, seek meekness.
Probably you will be concealed on the day of Jehovah’s anger.
Go, my people, enter your inner rooms,
And shut your doors behind you.
Hide yourself for a brief moment
Until the wrath has passed by.
The bible makes it clear that we are saved from Satan the Devil and his demons , the world that he rules, wicked people, sin, death and the coming Day of Jehovah.
They became still more astounded and said to him: “Who possibly can be saved?” 27 Looking straight at them, Jesus said: “With men it is impossible but not so with God, for all things are possible with God.” 28 Peter began to say to him: “Look! We have left all things and followed you.” 29 Jesus said: “Truly I say to you, no one has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the good news
30 who will not get 100 times more now in this period of time—houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fields, with persecutions and in the coming system of things, everlasting life.
Ĺuke 18: 26
Those who heard this said: “Who possibly can be saved?” 27 He said: “The things impossible with men are possible with God.” 28 But Peter said: “Look! We have left what was ours and followed you.” 29 He said to them: “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the Kingdom of God 30 who will not get many times more in this period of time, and in the coming system of things, everlasting life.”
13 But the one who has endured to the end will be saved.
13 For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.”
2 Samuel 22:28
For you save those who are humble, But your eyes are against the haughty, and you abase them.
25 So he is able also to save completely those who are approaching God through him, because he is always alive to plead for them.
1 Timothy 4:16
Pay constant attention to yourself and to your teaching. Persevere in these things, for by doing this you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.
If you endure till the end, you are humble, you call on the name of Jehovah, you approach God through Christ and pay attention to yourself and your teaching and leave everything behind and follow Christ you will be saved.
5. Luke 12:40
You also, keep ready, because at an hour that you do not think likely, the Son of man is coming.
Keep on the watch, therefore, because you know neither the day nor the hour.
Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father.
We have to be ready always for our salvation, only Jehovah knows that hour and day.
6. Proverbs 18:10
The name of Jehovah is a strong tower.
Into it the righteous one runs and receives protection.
For he will hide me in his shelter on the day of calamity;
He will conceal me in the secret place of his tent;
High on a rock he will place me.
With his pinions he will cover you,
And under his wings you will take refuge.
His faithfulness will be a large shield and a protective wall.
So, then, Jehovah knows how to rescue people of godly devotion out of trial, but to reserve unrighteous people to be destroyed on the day of judgment,
Jehovah has not given us details as to how he is going to save us but his word the bible has assured us that he will.As the bible encourages us to walk by faith not by sight, we will just have to wait from him.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has even put eternity in their heart; yet mankind will never find out the work that the true God has made from start to finish.
For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.
This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
Since we are all dying, we do need this salvation from Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ in order to gain eternal life.
